La Liga teams are stronger than the premier league teams. People
always make an argument that the premier league is the most completive league
but this is actually false. 5 to 7 years ago, the only two teams who fought
with one another for the title was Chelsea and Man U. The last three years ago,
it has been Chelsea and Man City. It's always two teams just like in la liga
where it's Barca or Real. Arsenal has over a decade without winning the league,
liverpool has 20+ years, Spurs don't stand a chance, and neither do Everton. So
in terms of competitiveness, both leagues are around the same seeing as only
two realistic teams battle for the title each year. However, Real and Barca
would beat Chelsea and City. Atletico and Valencia would beat Man U and Arsenal.
Sevilla would beat Spurs, etc. You see the pattern. Plus, just look how poor
English teams do in Champions League.
La Liga BBVA has an overall of expenses better than the BPL,
meaning teams with more expensive players, and richer teams... They also have
younger players, and have a greater participation in more competitions, and
finally they have a cumultative fan count from all over the world more than the
BPL. It's also famous for it's rivalries, such as Real Madrid vs Fc Barcelona,
Athletico Madrid vs Real Madrid, Valencia vs Fc Barcelona...
In terms of competitiveness id say the premier league edges it but
in terms of quality of football its la liga by a mile. for evidence look at
Europa and champions league of the last two three years and also the upcoming
year.
The top of La Liga is far better then the top of the BPL. However
the midtable to bottom table sides in the BPL are WAY better. The teams towards
the bottom in La Liga are terrible.
